 | 09:00 pm - Selling and Moving EDIT (2/10): so, as my last post said, I may not have to move out, but I still really need to trim down on my manga collection and they're cutting my hours at work, so the extra income would be awesome. Also, post edited to reflect some claims.
EDIT 2 (2/13): edited to reflect items that have sold and shipped
EDIT 3 (4/4): edit to reflect more sales. Still have more to get more put up on here from my half.com account.
Moving and Selling .... blargh.
so definitely going to have to move out. I think I've found a place I can manage on my own. It's not a huge apartment, but I really don't need a ton of space for myself. I am going to have to go out and buy a lot of stuff that I don't have anymore ... Like a dish drainer, though I could always towel dry and put it away right away, but I'm thinking more about the days where I just wash something off quick before having to run out the door. Also going to need bathroom stuff ... rugs, towels, soap dispenser, shower curtain, that sort of stuff. But all that is little stuff. It's the cookware that's going to kill me. All my stuff was OLD when I moved here and it's been sitting in the garage for 4+ years, so I'm not sure what kind of condition it's going to be in. Thankfully, I'm not a major gourmet or anything, so I'm only going to need a couple (sauce pan, fry pan, and a pot, and a griddle for pancakes/french toast) but still, the good stuff would get expensive fast.
then there's the whole rent thing. Ideally, I'd like to pay an extra month's worth of rent up front so I have a buffer and keep it so that if something happens, I've got a bit of wiggle room. But I'm not sure how much the security deposit on the place is going to be, but I know rent is about $400/month, so if I do two months of rent and if the security deposit is a month's rent (which sometimes it's more) then I'm looking at needing $1200 just to do that. Plus, with some of my stuff, I think it'll just be easier to hire movers so I don't have to worry about finding people to help me move some of this stuff, cause it's fucking heavy or big or awkward. And I'm sure movers would get expensive real fast too, even if I just have them take the big heavy stuff and move all the boxes of stuff myself.
so, that brings me to the point of this post. In an effort to make moving easier (less stuff to box up and move) and to generate some cash flow, I'm selling off a bunch of my manga. I'm just not rereading like I thought I would. There are a few series that I'm just not willing to part with because I really do like them and those I'll reread. But for the most part, it's just taking up space. so ....
I took pictures so people can see what kind of condition the books are in, or at least the spines. So go HERE to view the photobucket album and see what you can see. I've also got a bunch of stuff up on half.com that isn't included in the pictures, but is still definitely for sale. If you're not comfortable using half.com or want other stuff that's on the big shelf, go ahead and email me and we can work something out. And follow the cut for a list of series and volumes from the pictures.
( Series For SaleCollapse )
Prices are negotiable, but if you want an idea of price range, check out half.com. basically, offer me half the cover price plus shipping and it's yours.
It's either this or take everything to a dealer that gives $1 per volume. If it gets bad enough, that still might just happen. Current Location: neither here nor there Current Mood: hopeful

 | 11:24 pm - Fic Challenge so, the roomie and I got the Bleach game, Shattered Blade, for the Wii for Christmas and in playing it, have found some wonderful prompts that just make our brains jump straight into the gutter and while I would LOVE to write every single one, I just don't have that much time. so I offer a challenge to those on my flist: write a fic with some of these and share in all the gutter glory.
Rules: - Pick two or more characters from the list. - Pick one or more lines from each character's list. - Write some ficcage.
Prizes: - I'll write you a fic with your pick of prompts from the lists
Don't ask me how those that'll get fics will be picked ... I haven't decided yet. Heck, if few enough people participate, everyone might just get one.
Note: more lines will be added as I unlock more stuff. ( Click for characters and linesCollapse ) enjoy the crack and let's have some fun.

 | 12:22 am - Gift Fic: Midday Surprises Title: Midday Surprises Rating: NC-17 for sex Characters/Pairings: Keigo/Cloud(Claude, whatever you want to call him ... the guy with the cool mimic ability ... he's Cloud in this) Disclaimer: Not my characters, just my interpretation of them. Words: 883 Summary: Keigo gets a surprise at lunch ... too bad it lasts long into his afternoon classes. Notes: B-day giftfic for 2metaldog running a little late cause I couldn't think of anything to write, so resorted to having to ask for a prompt, therefore this is all her fault ... the original prompt was : Bleach, Cloud/Keigo (any order you wish), fumbling first time (bonus points for use of Cloud's mimic skills) ... no first time fumbling, but still smut, so hopefully it's oka. I don't think it's particularly good, but that could just be personal author-hates-their-own-work stuffs.

 | 10:37 pm - The Dark Knight just got home from seeing the new Batman movie (in case you can't tell from the subject of this post) and OMG it was awesome. I think I'm a little speechless from the level of acting in this movie. Heath Ledger was mind-blowingly psychotic as the Joker. It is truly a sad thing that he is no longer around, but I can see how the character and the role was giving him nightmares enough that he needed sleeping pills. One of the great tragedies of our times is the loss of him.
... oka, not so speechless, I guess. but, omg, that was the greatest magic trick ever. Best way on the planet to make a pencil disappear. oh, just, everyone should go see this one on the big screen. this one and Hellboy II: Golden Army. They're both just so much epic. | 02:01 am - random spamdon right .... so the roomie texted and said we were going out to dinner FFY (fend for yourself) which was fine cause I'd already eaten and just wanted to go hang out somewhere that wasn't the house, so I went along. while we were at the restaurant, Megan's little brother that she had brought with her DRANK all of the creamer out of the little bowl that was on the table. we're talking like at least 10 creamers. just downed them. it was so crack!!!!tastically hilarious I just couldn't resist saying something about it on here just to get the WTFery responses from it.
and then the roomie and I wandered around meijer (if you don't know what a meijer is, count yourself blessed) for a good 1 1/2 hours, mostly random meandering around the store, with stops in CDs and DVDs, Health and Beauty, and fresh produce. and while in the CDs I found a Jim Croce cd and totally had to get it cause Jim is one of my all time oldies fave singer and I know like at least half the songs on the cd well enough to be able to hum, if not sing, the song. so that was major happy right there. they also had all 4 of the Tremors movies for $15 and I totally wanted to get it cause the movies are just so terrible, I love them. alas, didn't have enough money for that. What we really went for was Hellboy. We're going to see the new one in the morning and wanted to watch the first one, but we don't have it, which is just silly cause we have TONS of movies. all well. we'll just have to get it later cause the store didn't have it, but they had the animated stuff for Hellboy and a figurine. all well. we'll just have to settle for the new one in about 8 hours ... HOLY FUCK I SHOULD BE ASLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!
